Many organizations regionally and statewide are providing services to people in need during this time of uncertainty, including food, shelter, medical, dental and mental health care, child care and more as listed below. We will update this as more information becomes available.

Statewide

  • Temporary Halt in Residential Evictions to Prevent the Further Spread of COVID-19
  • Idaho Food Bank
  • Idaho School Feeding Sites

  • COVID-19 resources for customers and partners - Idaho Housing and Finance Association
  • Jesse Tree of Idaho - Housing Crisis Line to provide support, information, and referral services to households at risk of eviction.
  • Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
  • Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Behavioral Health Distress Hotline
    888-330-3010 (Assistance is anonymous and confidential.)
  • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) – provides U.S. Department of Agriculture food to income-eligible households living on reservations
  • Community Council of Idaho  - offices are closed, but it is offering such services as emergency food boxes, health care on a limited basis in various locations across the state.

Northern

  • Community Action Partnership - helps local residents with a wide range of services including affordable housing, food and nutrition, and assistance for the aging.

North Central

  • Community Action Partnership - helps local residents with a wide range of services including affordable housing, food and nutrition, and assistance for the aging.
  • Snake River Community Clinic – free medical clinic serving low-income uninsured. Call for appointment. (208) 743-5899.
  • CHAS Health – nonprofit health center providing medical, dental pharmacy and behavioral health services for regardless of ability to pay. Locations in Lewiston and Moscow.
  • Free food pantries, Lewiston area.
  • Nez Perce Tribe-Commodity Foods - Eligibility guidelines apply and for tribe members only. Food distribution sites in Lapwai and Kamiah. (208) 843-2463.
  • Salvation Army – Lewiston Corps – Food assistance, shelter, disaster services. (208) 746-9653.
  • St. Vincent de Paul - Help with clothing, food, baby supplies, household goods, emergency needs. (208) 746-8361.

Southwestern

  • United Way of Treasure Valley Community Resource Page - highlights housing assistance, childcare assistance, health care, resources for educators and parents, transportation assistance and more.
  • Boise City / Ada County Housing Authorities - Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) offers help to renters facing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Southeastern

Salvation Army Pocatello – offers free lunches and food boxes, provides hygiene and homeless assistance, hotel, counseling, energy assistance, gas assistance, offender and addiction counseling, and programs for school age children. (208) 232-5318

Aid for Friends – Offers free early evening meals and provides many other social services. (208) 232-0178

St. Vincent De Paul of Pocatello – Food pantry open midday Wednesdays. (208) 233-2555

Eastern

  • Idaho Department of Health and Welfare – offers Idaho citizens assistance with food, child care, mental health issues, medicine, health care and more. Idaho Falls office – (208) 528-5800, Rexburg office - (208) 359-4750.
  • Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP) - helps local residents with a wide range of services including affordable housing, food and nutrition, assistance for seniors and pre-school. (208) 522-5391.
  • Bonneville County Social Services – offers county residents with temporary rent and utilities assistance. (208)529-1350, ext. 1385.
  • Salvation Army Idaho Falls Corps – provides assistance with food, shelter, utilities, emotional support. (208) 522-7200.
  • St Vincent De Paul – helps people in need by assisting with food, housing expenses, clothing, furniture, and other basic human needs. (208) 522-6280.
  • Club, Inc. – offers emergency and transitional housing. (208) 529-4673.
  • Idaho Falls Rescue Mission - offers food and shelter services. (208) 552-5575.
  • Idaho Falls Community Outreach Center – combined community organizations offering food assistance, emergency housing, medicine and general assistance. (208) 557-5750.
  • Community Council of Idaho – offers support with food, health, housing and more. (208) 524-0980.
  • Community Food Basket—Idaho Falls – provides food boxes to citizens in need. (208) 524-0980.
