Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (IDVR) is a state agency. Its goal is to support individuals with disabilities prepare for employment opportunities by providing individualized service delivery including vocational counseling and guidance. These services are provided with the intent to support individuals with disabilities in achieving a successful employment outcome that is compatible with their abilities while meeting the needs of the employer.

IDVR provides individualized services with the intent to support its customers in reaching their employment and career goals. Services may be discussed with a VR counselor and are provided based upon the customers individualized needs related to their specific employment goals.

Their services may be able to help you:

  • Vocational counseling and guidance.
  • Pre-employment transition services for youth ages 14-21 including opportunities for job exploration counseling, work-based learning experiences, instruction on self-advocacy, work readiness training, counseling on postsecondary educational and training opportunities.
  • Job-related services including placement support and job supports once employment is gained.
  • Rehabilitation or assistive technology.
  • Training related services including support for job readiness training, GED, on-the-job training, Registered Apprenticeships, support of other vocationally relevant training including occupational or vocational training, junior or community college, four-year college and/or graduate school programs.
  • Other support services determined necessary and appropriate to support customers in reaching their specific employment outcome may also be available.
